In this election, the people of Annapolis have a clear choice . . .
PC candidate David Bowlby who will work tirelessly to bring doctors to the area
OR
Liberal Carman Kerr whose “negative and political messaging” offended local healthcare professionals and hurt recruitment efforts.
Let me explain. Last spring, the chair of the Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation wrote to Churchill Liberal Carman Kerr. He said Kerr was wrong to say he was working with the Foundation to recruit Doctors to the Annapolis hospital.
“After a number of attempts to work with you over the past two years, we have been unable to form an equitable situation for a positive outcome with regards to Physician Recruitment & Retention.”
But here’s the kicker. The Chair of the Foundation said Kerr was hurting their recruitment efforts. Check this out:
“Your negative and political messaging has been a detriment to morale at Soldiers Memorial Hospital where we couldn't invite you to events this past Summer and Fall, so as not to offend our Healthcare professionals that attended these functions.”
I know one thing for sure. No one will ever have to ban David Bowlby from doctor recruitment functions. The Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation will have a positive and enthusiastic partner when David Bowlby is elected as your MLA.
That’s the way it should be. Your MLA should lead the charge for more doctors. They should be the area’s biggest advocate, and they should NEVER offend the people who work so hard to keep our community healthy.
Annapolis can’t afford to elect a Liberal who chases doctors away. Carman Kerr is too risky for local healthcare.
