Becky Druhan will be the PC candidate for Lunenburg West in the next provincial election.
Druhan is a skilled lawyer who has represented hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations. She has firsthand experience in the operation of a range of government systems including health care, transportation, energy, justice and community services.
Druhan currently works in the nonprofit sector where she leads programs to expand the availability of nursing, home and community care in Nova Scotia.
“Tim Houston and the PC Party have a vision for a healthier and more prosperous Nova Scotia,” says Druhan. “I’m excited to be joining a team with common-sense plans that will make a real difference in our communities.”
A desire to help people solve problems and a sense of responsibility to use her skills in service of community and province have led Druhan to make the leap into politics.
“I’m happy to have such a passionate and capable advocate on our team,” says PC Leader Tim Houston. “Becky is a problem-solver with an impressive record of helping others and she will make a great MLA for the people of Lunenburg West.”
Druhan also volunteers her time. She has served on and volunteered with associations and boards including the Friends of Keji Cooperating Association and the Eastern Admiralty Law Association. She has also provided pro bono legal work in support of access to services for children with disabilities and for provincial environmental programs.
Druhan lives in Italy Cross with her husband Anthony and their two children Gabriella and Cullen.
