Municipal councillor and paramedic Carl Deveau is the PC candidate in Clare.
Deveau joins a growing list of community leaders and healthcare professionals stepping up to run for the PC Party.
“I’m excited to join a team that is putting forward real healthcare solutions that will benefit rural areas of our province,” says Deveau. “Tim Houston’s vision for Nova Scotia will bring much-needed changes to government and for our community.”
As a municipal councillor for the District of Clare, Deveau sits on a number of boards and committees, including the Policy Advisory Board and Doctor Recruitment.
“Carl Deveau truly cares about his community and I’m proud that he is stepping up to continue his incredible representation of the area at the provincial level,” says PC Leader Tim Houston. “He understands the challenges and his experience as a healthcare professional are exactly what is needed as we continue to put forward solutions for the many of the issues facing our healthcare system.”
Apart from his work duties, Deveau is also an outdoors enthusiast who enjoys kayaking, canoeing and other sports, including as a trainer for Les Jeux de l’Acadie.
