Churchill afraid of Nova Scotians sending a message to his friend Justin Trudeau

HALIFAX – Liberal Leader Zach Churchill is afraid of letting Nova Scotians have their say in the provincial election.

At his kickoff rally last night in Halifax, Churchill said it doesn’t matter what Nova Scotians do in the November 26 election.  The longtime supporter of Justin Trudeau told a gathering of Liberals:

“As if a provincial election changes anything in what is going on with our federal government in Ottawa?”

Queens PC candidate Kim Masland says it’s vital for Nova Scotians to use the November 26 election to send a strong message to Justin Trudeau and the Liberals.  As Public Works Minister, Masland has led the charge on behalf of Nova Scotia to get the Trudeau Liberals to fully fund strengthening Nova Scotia’s Chignecto Isthmus link with the rest of Canada.  While the Trudeau Liberals refuse to fully fund this vital Nova Scotia infrastructure, they covered 100% of the costs – more than $4 billion – to deliver a new toll-free Champlain Bridge in Montreal.

“That’s why this election matters – Nova Scotians need to send a strong message to Justin Trudeau’s Liberals.  Fund Nova Scotia projects the same way you fund projects in your own back yard in Montreal,” said Masland.  “Zach Churchill is always ready to give his friend Justin Trudeau a pass, but Nova Scotians can count on Tim Houston and our PC Team to stand up for our province.”

Liberal Leader Zach Churchill has been a major supporter of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for more than a decade.  From supporting Trudeau’s leadership campaign to attending two back-to-back high-priced Laurier Club fundraisers in Halifax in 2023 and 2024, Churchill has been a close ally of the Prime Minister.
