Churchill is a Trudeau Megadonor

LIVERPOOL, N.S. - Since becoming Nova Scotia Liberal leader, Zach Churchill has given more to the federal Liberals than the Nova Scotia Liberal Party.

Since becoming Nova Scotia Liberal Leader in 2022, Elections Canada records show that Churchill gave over $5,000 to Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party of Canada.  In 2022 and 2023, Churchill gave less than half that amount, approximately $2500, to his own Nova Scotia Liberal Party, according to Elections Nova Scotia.

“Nearly half of Churchill’s caucus chose not to re-offer because they doubted Churchill’s leadership,” said Queens PC candidate Kim Masland. “Now, we see Churchill doesn’t even believe in himself.”

Queens PC candidate Kim Masland says it’s vital for Nova Scotians to use the November 26 election to send a strong message to Justin Trudeau and the Liberals.

As Public Works Minister, Masland led the charge on behalf of Nova Scotia to get the Trudeau Liberals to fully fund strengthening Nova Scotia’s Chignecto Isthmus link with the rest of Canada.  While the Trudeau Liberals refuse to fund this vital Nova Scotia infrastructure fully, they covered 100% of the costs – more than $4 billion – to deliver a new toll-free Champlain Bridge in Montreal.

“That’s why this election matters – Nova Scotians must send a strong message to Justin Trudeau’s Liberals.  Fund Nova Scotia projects the same way you fund projects in Montreal,” said Masland.  “Zach Churchill is always ready to give his friend Justin Trudeau a pass, but Nova Scotians can count on Tim Houston and our PC Team to stand up for our province.”
