Humphries nominated PC candidate in Halifax Citadel-Sable Island

HALIFAX – A longtime business leader is running in Halifax Citadel-Sable Island for the Nova Scotia PC Party in the next provincial general election.

Eleanor Humphries was nominated as the party’s candidate in the constituency.

“The people of Halifax Citadel-Sable Island deserve an MLA who will be a strong, effective voice in Premier Tim Houston’s government,” said Humphries.  “Team Tim Houston has made progress fixing what previous Liberal and NDP governments have broken. While the NDP will raise taxes, I am running to be an MLA as part of a team that will lower taxes and make affordability happen for people.”

Humphries has deep roots in Halifax Citadel-Sable Island, having attended and graduated from what is now Armbrae Academy.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s of Business Administration from Dalhousie University.  With 30 years of senior executive experience, Humphries has served as CEO of Credit Union Atlantic and Halifax International Airport Authority.  She was also Vice-Chair of the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada

Premier Tim Houston’s PC Team has delivered record investments in healthcare, housing and infrastructure.  The Houston PCs are also providing tax relief, while at the same time fighting against the Liberal carbon tax.
