KINGS NORTH, NS – John Lohr will be the Progressive Conservative candidate for Kings North in the next provincial election.
First elected in 2013, Lohr has worked tirelessly for the people of Kings North and has delivered concrete results to fix what was broken in the constituency, including:
- $2 million to upgrade the Glooscap Arena.
- Upgrades to infrastructure at Blomidon Provincial Park.
- Water and sewer upgrades in Port Williams, Kentville, and Canning.
- More than $12 million for roads and bridges.
“I am excited to be a part of Premier Tim Houston’s PC team,” Lohr said. “Our PC government has done tremendous work to build up our province, especially here in Kings County and I’m looking forward to seeing what more can be accomplished in the years ahead.”
Lohr won elections in 2013, 2017, and 2021. He is currently the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Minister responsible for the Emergency Management Office.
With investments of over $100,000 to the Valley Search and Rescue and local fire departments in Canning, Halls Harbour, Kentville, and Port Williams, Lohr has supported fire and rescue operations within the communities of Kings North.
“John Lohr serves the people of Kings North with incredible compassion and integrity,” Premier Houston said. “He is an outstanding MLA and an important part of our government.”
The Houston government is improving the lives of Nova Scotians by hiring more doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, lowering taxes by indexing tax brackets, and investing in our seniors with the Seniors Care Grant.
