Larry Harrison was born and raised in Saint John, NB before enrolling at UNB Fredericton where he completed his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History and Political Science. Following graduation, Larry moved to Halifax with his new family and completed his Master of Divinity at the Atlantic School of Theology. After his ordination, Larry served the Noel pastoral charge, associate minister at Saint Paul’s United Church in Fredericton, NB before moving to serve the Brookfield/Middle Stewiacke pastoral charge. He continues to reside in the Brookfield area. He and his wife’s (deceased) grown children have also chosen the area to call home; their son Brent (Meredith) and grandchildren Gavin and Paige and their daughter Stacey (Jason). Larry enjoys travelling, curling, is the president of the Middle Stewiacke bowling league and is a member of the Brookfield Golf and Country Club but most importantly, time spent with family and friends. Many political conversations have taken place over the years as politics runs in the family. In addition to supporting the pastoral charge for the past 30 plus years, Larry is an advocate of community involvement. He was involved in the following organizations: Chaplain of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, Spiritual support of the palliative care team, member of the ethics committee and member of the Spiritual Care Committee at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre.  He is currently involved as a Member of the Brookfield Men’s Club, Member of the Brookfield Train Station Historical Society, Member of the Elm Masonic Lodge; held the positions of Grand Chaplain for Nova Scotia and Master at the WD Lawrence Masonic Lodge.
