Louie Piovesan acclaimed as the PC candidate for Cape Breton Centre

Life-long New Waterford resident Louie Piovesan is the Progressive Conservative candidate for Cape Breton Centre in the upcoming by-election.

Piovesan, who works for the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and is active in the local labour movement, says the people of Cape Breton need solutions to the healthcare crisis.

“After six years of the McNeil Liberals, the residents of Cape Breton Centre continue to struggle to find a doctor, or even an emergency room that is open,” says Piovesan. “It’s time for this constituency to send a message to the Liberals that their policies are not working.”

Piovesan says it’s hard for people in Cape Breton to get ahead and that Nova Scotia needs a change in government.

“The Progressive Conservatives, under the leadership of Tim Houston, are listening to the issues concerning Nova Scotians and are presenting a real alternative to the McNeil Liberals,” says Piovesan. “I look forward to knocking on doors and talking to voters about how the PCs will bring much-needed improvements to our province.”

Louie is a dedicated community activist and volunteer who loves to coach minor hockey in his spare time. He has been married to his wife Beverley for 35 years and they have two grown sons, Ryne and Jeremy.
