As a tough year draws to a close, now is the time to embrace the Christmas spirit and give to those who are struggling this year says PC MLA Kim Masland.
Masland is once again asking her constituency of Queens-Shelburne to help fill the shelves at the local food bank with the Community Food Cruise initiative.
“I’m always so impressed by the generosity of the people of Queens-Shelburne. This year, more than ever, we need to support those who are less fortunate,” says Masland. “By supporting the foodbank, we can help more Nova Scotians have something to eat this holiday season and after.”
Masland, who is participating in the Community Food Cruise alongside the Queens RCMP Detachment and the Liverpool Superstore, says that food items, cash, or gift cards can be dropped off to the Liverpool Atlantic Superstore on Sunday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“Let’s show our community that we care this holiday season and pitch in to help those in need,” says Masland, who has been involved in the initiative long before her time as an MLA.
The drop-off location will be outside, and in adherence to COVID-19 protocols.
