Queens- Shelburne MLA Kim Masland will continue to fight for better access to healthcare and long-term care improvements as the PC Candidate for Queens in the upcoming provincial election.
“It’s been an honour and privilege to serve as an MLA for this beautiful region and the kind and generous people who live here,” says Masland. “I take this responsibility very seriously and work hard every day to ensure the concerns I am hearing from residents are being delivered in the Legislature. I believe we have enormous potential here and I haven’t even scratched the surface of what we can achieve together.”
Masland has served as the MLA for Queens-Shelburne since the 2017 provincial election. In that time, she has distinguished herself as an outspoken advocate, standing up for better access to healthcare services, mental health and dedicated palliative care beds. She has worked tirelessly on justice issues to ensure we have safer communities. She is a passionate advocate for resource-based industries in her community and stands strong for rural values.
“Kim is smart, hardworking and passionate about representing the people of Queens County. Let’s re-elect her,” said Dr. Al Doucet
“I have always believed the standard you walk by, is the standard you accept. I will always contribute to ensure there is a higher standard,” Masland said. “There’s no task too big or small that I won’t put my full heart into. I want every single Queens’ resident to know they matter and I’ll continue to fight for them as their MLA.”
Masland’s long record of public service has provided her with the experience, training and compassion to understand the issues facing Nova Scotians and to advocate on behalf of Queens County constituents.
“Kim Masland is a kind-hearted, compassionate person. She listens to Queens residents and is their strong voice in the Legislature. She brought the crisis in long-term and primary care to the floor of the Legislature and will continue to fight for the people of Queens for the services they deserve,” says Houston.
Former MLA John Leefe agrees.
“Time and time again, Kim has demonstrated her dedication to her electors. She is a keeper,” he said.
