Mosher nominated PC candidate in Fairview-Clayton Park

HALIFAX, N.S. – A longtime community volunteer and Fairview resident is running in Fairview-Clayton Park for the Nova Scotia PC Party in the next provincial general election.

Nicole Mosher was nominated as the party’s candidate in the constituency.

“The people of Fairview-Clayton Park deserve an MLA who will deliver positive results as part of Premier Tim Houston’s government,” said Mosher.  “Team Tim Houston has made progress fixing what previous Liberal and NDP governments have broken. I am running to be an MLA who can bring the priorities of Fairview-Clayton Park to the table where decisions are made in government.”

Mosher is a third-generation resident of Fairview-Clayton Park. She is a mother to two daughters and an active volunteer.  Her extensive experience includes co-founding the Fairview Food Pantries, volunteering on her School Advisory Committee, serving on the Bella Rose Arts Centre Board, organizing the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Clayton Park and having coached youth sports and supported the Fairview Community Association.  Mosher is also active in her local mosque, Ummah Masjid.

Mosher currently works with a regulator in Nova Scotia's healthcare system, in addition to owning her own bookkeeping practice. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Guelph.

“As someone who grew up in Fairview, I can say that Nicole Mosher is everything the people of Fairview-Clayton Park would want in an MLA – committed to community, caring and hard-working,” said Premier Tim Houston.  “At a time when the Liberals are distracted by internal problems and Zach Churchill’s strong support for Justin Trudeau and the NDP want to raise the Harmonized Sales Tax, Fairview-Clayton Park should have an MLA like Nicole who is focused on helping people through lower taxes, more doctors and higher wages.”

Premier Tim Houston’s PC Team has delivered record investments in healthcare, housing and infrastructure.  The Houston PCs are also providing tax relief, while at the same time fighting against the Liberal carbon tax.
