SHELBURNE - Nolan Young will be the Progressive Conservative candidate for Shelburne in the next provincial election.
Elected in 2021, Young has delivered concrete results for the people of Shelburne to fix what was broken in the constituency, including:
-
Establishing the TLC Pharmasave, in Shelburne, as one of the first Pharmacy Care Clinics in the province.
-
112 long-term care beds at the new Roseway Manor.
-
29 new affordable housing units in Shelburne.
-
Eight new public housing units located in an eightplex at 182 Clements Street, Shelburne.
-
Major upgrades to trunk #3 in the Municipality of Barrington and Highway #103 between Jordan Falls and Sable River.
“I am very grateful to the people of Shelburne County who have placed their trust in me,” Young said. “Over the past three years, I have worked closely with Premier Tim Houston and my colleagues to improve access to services that were neglected in the past. Should I be given that privilege again in the next provincial election, I will continue to help accomplish even more for Shelburne County.”
MLA Young is presently the Deputy Speaker of the House and serves on the Health, Human Resources, Natural Resources and Economic Development and Public Accounts standing committees of the Legislature.
“Nolan has earned a reputation as a strong advocate for his constituents,” said Premier Houston. “His work ethic is impressive, and it is paying off for the people of Shelburne.”
Since the 2021 election, the PC government has been building up Shelburne County through investments in fire departments, community facilities, museums, transportation, housing, roads, wharfs, and local colleges such as NSCC to help deliver real solutions for residents.
