Chris Palmer will be the Progressive Conservative candidate for Kings West in the next provincial election. The well-known financial advisor, musician and community leader was acclaimed on October 29.
“I have no doubt that Tim Houston will be the next premier of Nova Scotia,” Palmer said. “It is exciting to be part of such a thoughtful team that is laser-focused on improving life for all Nova Scotians. For Tim, this isn’t about politics. It’s personal.”
Palmer is a graduate of Dalhousie University who has worked in the financial services industry for 22 years, helping clients from across Nova Scotian achieve their financial goals. He is also a popular singer who leads the gospel band Sonlight. He was named songwriter of the year in 2015 by the Maritime Gospel Association.
An active and effective community activist, Palmer served on the board of directors for Campaign for Kids and Our House. He has also been a minor basketball coach for many years.
“Chris Palmer is a compassionate and effective community advocate and a great addition to our team,” said PC leader Tim Houston. “Chris has all the attributes of a great MLA.”
