The violence and destruction has to stop. The escalation of events over the last week is indefensible.
Everyone is incredibly frustrated that the government leadership is failing. We cannot and do not condone the events that have taken place.
Minister Jordan has a job to do: work with all parties toward resolution and clearly define “moderate livelihood.” From the Minister’s initial decision to remain far away in her Ottawa office instead of immediately returning home to her continued refusal to commit to bringing all parties together, the lack of action has been appalling.
Once again, I join the Premier and others calling on the Minister to immediately take action and bring all parties together. The Minister must provide regular communications with Nova Scotians to provide some assurance that her government understands the urgency and magnitude of the crisis.
