Harsher penalties for endangering students
Drivers who put the safety of students at risk need to face harsher penalties.
Nova Scotia's Progressive Conservatives have introduced legislation to increase the penalties on drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses. Under this bill, drivers who pass a stopped bus would have an automatic 6-month suspension of their license and a fine of up to $5,000.
This is all part of a plan to keep our roads and children safe in Nova Scotia.
