Voters in the Preston riding have an opportunity to have their voice at the Government’s decision-making table by electing PC Candidate Twila Grosse on August 8th.
Grosse, a lifelong community advocate and resident of Cherry Brook, has a reputation of delivering results.
With a background in finance, working for 36 years at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Twila has been actively involved in her community. Her community service includes sitting on the boards of the Black Cultural Society of Nova Scotia, the Alderney Landing Community Culture Centre, United Way Halifax, the Halifax Foundation, the Atlantic Baptist Foundation, the African United Baptist Association of Nova Scotia, Atlantic Baptist Women, and the Southeastern Community Health Board. She is also actively involved in leadership positions within the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church.
“As the MLA for Preston, I will work with community members to deliver results for our area,” said Grosse. “The Preston riding deserves a voice at the decision-making table in government. Over the course of this campaign, I will work diligently to earn the trust and support of voters.”
Twila would join Premier Tim Houston’s PC majority Government that is focused on delivering solutions on healthcare, the cost of living, and creating opportunities for Nova Scotians.
“Twila has dedicated her time and energy to improving her community,” said Premier Houston. “I want Twila’s perspective and experience at the decision-making table as a part of our PC team. Preston needs an action-oriented leader who will help me fix healthcare, care for our most vulnerable, and make life more affordable - not an opposition MLA criticizing from the sidelines. I look forward to campaigning alongside Twila to earn the support of the people of Preston.”
