Sheri Morgan, a retired mother of five and grandmother of nine is the PC Candidate nominated in Halifax Citadel-Sable Island.
“I am standing beside Tim Houston to focus on improving healthcare and providing dignity to our seniors,” Morgan said. “I also think the PC plan is the right plan to help small business in the recovery from this pandemic.”
Morgan’s purpose for running in this election is to draw attention to the lack of resources in our healthcare system for women’s health, with a focus on vaginal and pelvic floor conditions. She was inspired to run following the death of her best friend Deanne Reeve in 2020 from cervical cancer.
“We need to provide support to nurses, physicians and surgeons of this province to deliver the kind of care Nova Scotians deserve. Successive governments have ignored women’s health. It’s time to stop beating around the bush and get this done,” said Morgan. “Tim Houston has demonstrated to me he understands the need to improve women’s health and seniors’ care. That’s why I’m joining his team.”
Morgan moved into Halifax two years ago to assist in caring for her aging parents. She also understands the challenges people are facing helping their parents age with dignity.
“Sheri is driven by compassion and empathy,” said Houston. “She is someone who will not give up until she achieves her goal. That’s the kind of representative people in Halifax Citadel-Sable Island need and deserve.”
Morgan grew up in Cole Harbour and now lives in Halifax. She co-owned a car dealership and knows all too well the everyday struggles of owning a small business.
