Darryl Johnson is the PC candidate for Cole Harbour

Darryl Johnson is the PC candidate in Cole Harbour for the next provincial election.

Johnson has worked with youth in the Halifax Regional Municipality for more than 30 years, in the areas of mental health, law and education. He currently works as a community specialist with Halifax Public Libraries in Cole Harbour, serving Preston Township.

“I am looking forward to working with Tim Houston and the PC Party,” says Johnson. “I am excited to have found a leader that aligns with my values to make Nova Scotia a better place for all Nova Scotians, with a common sense approach to government.”

Johnson has run numerous social programs for the youth and seniors in marginalized communities. He has sat and still sits on a variety of committees where he has demonstrated his commitment to community building, understanding local issues, and working with people.

“Darryl’s dedication to helping others is admirable,” says PC Leader Tim Houston. “The Cole Harbour community will be well represented with Darryl as MLA as we prepare to take on the many challenges facing Nova Scotia.”

Johnson is an avid supporter of community events, youth and sports. He has coached high school basketball for over 25 years, including at Cole Harbour High.

A graduate of Dalhousie University, Johnson has lived in Cole Harbour 22 years and is proud to have raised two daughters, Breyona and Brooklynn.
