PC Budget 2024-25 Delivers Largest Tax Break in NS History

As our province continues to grow, the PC Government is listening and responding to the needs of Nova Scotians. The 2024-25 provincial budget demonstrates Premier Tim Houston’s commitment to building up Nova Scotia with investments in housing, healthcare, and making life more affordable for all Nova Scotians.

Budget 2024-25 introduces the largest tax cut in Nova Scotia’s history, putting more money back in the pockets of hardworking Nova Scotians.

Healthcare remains a top priority for our government, and we are proud to announce more support for those living with diabetes. Budget 2024-25 provides support for Nova Scotians living with diabetes with coverage of glucose monitors and expanding the insulin pump program. By increasing access to these lifesaving devices, we are breaking down barriers to healthcare and ensuring that everyone, regardless of income, can access the support they need.

Understanding that having access to healthy food impacts our children's academic performance, health and overall well-being, we are taking action to bring a universal school lunch program to schools across our province.

In addressing the need for more affordable and accessible housing, our government continues to invest in constructing new housing units and improving existing infrastructure.

Our PC Government continues to work towards expanding infrastructure and communications networks across the province and ensuring all Nova Scotians can access reliable coverage.

The Houston government is committed to making the investments needed to keep building up Nova Scotia.
