Today, Premier Rankin attended a photo op celebrating that Nova Scotia has met vaccination levels reached by other provinces weeks earlier.
But numbers don’t lie. This morning, New Brunswick reached the milestone of 40% of their eligible population with two doses. Nova Scotia trails behind at 32.6%.
Meanwhile, parents are receiving emails for their 12-17 year old children to book their second doses, only to find that no Pfizer is available. Did the government plan ahead to ensure that kids would be able to receive their vaccine?
Instead of campaigning on the taxpayers’ dime, Premier Rankin needs to form and communicate a plan to get more doses of Pfizer into the province, and get our second-dose vaccination rates up to the national average.
While other Premiers remain focused on ensuring that second-dose vaccinations outpace the deadly Delta Variant, Iain Rankin has shifted gears towards the election.
